Barnsley YMCA Archers is a friendly, members-led club open to archers of any ability and experience shooting any bow style accepted by Archery GB. Members are accommodating and supportive of other members archery needs and are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the club, its events and the maintenance of its facilities and equipment.
We are located in the heart of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, UK. As an officially affiliated club with ArcheryGB, the national governing body for archery in the UK, we take pride in promoting the sport of archery and fostering a thriving community of archers of all skill levels. We are also members to our more local governing bodies, Yorkshire Archery Association (YAA) and the Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS).

Archery isn't just about shooting arrows!
Back in August, some of our members gave up their time for a repair morning, helping to keep the club's equipment in good condition and ready for our members to use.
A massive thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help out 🙌
It's work like this that helps us keep our equipment available and the repair work on our container will keep everything dry and safe over the winter season.

Back in August, we swapped arrows for BBQ tongs and enjoyed a brilliant evening together at the club! 😄
It was great to see so many members getting together, enjoying some food and having a bit of fun away from the usual shooting sessions.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise things, brought food, helped out and made the evening what it was!
