Barnsley YMCA Archers is a friendly, members-led club open to archers of any ability and experience shooting any bow style accepted by Archery GB. Members are accommodating and supportive of other members archery needs and are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the club, its events and the maintenance of its facilities and equipment.
We are located in the heart of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, UK. As an officially affiliated club with ArcheryGB, the national governing body for archery in the UK, we take pride in promoting the sport of archery and fostering a thriving community of archers of all skill levels. We are also members to our more local governing bodies, Yorkshire Archery Association (YAA) and the Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS).

Unfortunately, due to the forecasted snow, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the final session of our November Beginner’s Archery Course. - 2024 Indoor Season Temporary Home
Join us on Tuesday, 1st October at Broad Close Farm as we kick off the indoor archery season in our temporary new home, with range set-up instructions and a warm, welcoming environment for all members!
The outdoor season seems to be flying by!
From Tuesday 1st September, we will officially be returning to our indoor venue for regular club sessions.
🌧 Indoor shooting will resume as normal.
☀️ However, if the weather remains dry and bright, we will continue to make the outdoor field available as an optional shooting location where possible.
We'll share further details and timings closer to the date, but for now consider this your friendly reminder that indoor season is just around the corner.

With coaching courses coming up through NFP Archery Club, now could be the perfect time to consider giving something back to the sport.

On 5th September, Barnsley YMCA Archers will once again be running a Have-A-Go Archery range at Elsecar By The Sea.
These events are one of our best opportunities to introduce local people to archery and showcase our fantastic club.
