Welcome to our archery club, a thriving community of archers passionate about this ancient and captivating sport. We are proudly affiliated with ArcheryGB,Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS)., and Yorkshire Archery Association (YAA) , which ensures that we adhere to the highest standards and practices in archery.

Our club’s affiliation fees are based on a year-round calendar, running from 1st October to 30th September, and are pro-rata throughout the year. This affiliation enables us to participate in various regional and national competitions, promoting a competitive yet friendly environment for our members.

As for club membership, it runs from 1st January to 31st December, aligning with the calendar year. We offer a warm and inclusive atmosphere for archers of all skill levels and ages 8 and up. Our membership fees are as follows: £100.00 for adults and individuals over 18, and £75.00 for those under 18. These fees can be conveniently paid in two equal instalments, one in January and the other in July, making it easier for our members to budget for their passion.

Our two venues are based in Barnsley YMCA Sports Hall, Blucher Street, Barnsley town centre for the indoor season and the other is at the Rockingham Centre, Hoyland Common for the outdoor season.

At our club, it’s not just about competitions and serious practice. Throughout the year, we organize a wide range of club events to foster camaraderie and make archery even more enjoyable. These events include fun shoots, coaching days with expert trainers, equipment days for gear enthusiasts, and more. We believe in creating a supportive community that encourages members to grow as archers while having fun together.

If you’re already a member of another club and pay your ArcheryGB fees through them, but would like the added benefits of using our venues, we welcome club affiliates where you can pay for an ad-hoc 6 month block at any time during the year. Get in touch to enquire.
