We wanted to update you on the ongoing renovations at our usual indoor home, the Barnsley YMCA Sports Hall. Unfortunately, the renovation work is taking a bit longer than expected, meaning we won’t be able to return for the start of this indoor archery season. However, we’re hopeful to be back at the YMCA in the new year, with improved facilities that will better serve our community.
Our New Temporary Indoor Home: Broad Close Farm
In the meantime, we’re excited to announce that our new temporary indoor venue will be Broad Close Farm in Silkstone. We’ll officially begin the indoor season at this new location on Tuesday, 1st October, from 7pm to 9pm, and we warmly invite all club members to join us for our first evening at the new venue! This will also be an opportunity to walk through the range set-up instructions together.
Our regular sessions will continue on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7pm to 9pm moving forward.
Broad Close Farm offers everything we need for a great indoor season, including indoor heating – something new for us! For those attending, the car park is conveniently located right as you turn into the farm, with the hall just on the edge of the car park, making access simple and easy.

- Warm indoor environment (heating included, a nice upgrade from our previous venue!)

Beginner’s Course in November
We’re also excited to announce that our beginner’s course will still take place as planned in November at Broad Close Farm. If you or someone you know is interested in joining, it’s a perfect opportunity to get started in archery in a cozy and welcoming environment. Find out more details here and join our waiting list.
We understand that the change in venue might be an adjustment, but we’re committed to making the transition as smooth as possible.
